CHURCH LIBRARY MINISTRY CONFERENCE IN ALBUQUERQUE
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11-12, 2014
Baptist Convention of New Mexico and Central Baptist Association are sponsoring a state wide church library conference September 11 and 12, 2014 in Albuquerque.
The conference will be held at the Del Norte Baptist Conference Center, located at 6100 Montgomery Blvd., NE in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Eva Nell Hunter, Library Specialist for LifeWay will lead the conference.
We will begin each morning at 8:45AM and will end at 4PM on Thursday and noon on Friday.
Lunch will be on your own. You may brown bag or visit your choice of several nearby fast food restaurants.
Topics to be covered on Thursday are: Concourse - Beyond the Basics. In this class you will learn how to do inventory (with and without bar codes), how to make reports and use graphs, how to use filters, and more. Be ready with your questions about Concourse Library Software as we will have a limited question and answer time.
We will also have a class on How to Reach Men and Youth.
Friday morning we will have a discussion about Media Selection: What to look for; What to avoid; What every good library should have; A list of good suppliers; and Publishers to avoid.
There is no cost for the conference but advance registration is requested.
